Household timing

Set up separate work timelines

Separate timing changes when wages and person-owned contributions stop. Shared spending and the household retirement checkpoint remain plan-wide assumptions.

1
Protect your current plan with a backup

We strongly recommend downloading a fresh JSON backup before changing the model. Conversion preserves the combined fields, and a backup gives you a separate recovery point.

2

Split earned income

Enter each person's current gross annual earned income.

3

Set each work-end age

The work-end month is calculated from each person's saved birth month and year.

Household retirement begins Calculated from work-end ages

The first month both people are retired, based on the later work-end month.

4

Assign planned contributions

Split each current account contribution between the people who make it. No ownership is inferred automatically.

5

Run the required projection preview

A current preview is required before Save becomes available. Preview runs the proposed individual assumptions to determine the retirement balance without saving these changes.

Contact & Feedback

Send a note to SimuPlan

Bug reports and candid feedback are welcome.

ScreenshotOptional

PNG, JPEG, or WebP · Up to 3 MB

Screenshots may show personal or financial information. Attach only an image you are comfortable sending.

Safe technical context

General planning-mode and device context will be included.

SimuPlan does not automatically attach balances, account names, scenario names, plan assumptions, or locally stored financial data. A screenshot is included only if you choose one.

Manual balance update

Save one dated balance snapshot at a time. For multi-month or multi-year history, spreadsheet import is the recommended route.

Import balance history first to unlock manual updates.

Private, local processing

Update balances from screenshots

Add screenshots from any bank, brokerage, retirement plan, HSA, or financial dashboard. SimuPlan will suggest values; you remain in control of what gets saved.

1

Add screenshots

For best results
  • Include the account name and current balance. Crop out unrelated charts, daily changes, and account numbers when possible.
  • One screenshot can contain multiple accounts from a dashboard such as Monarch or Empower. You can also add separate screenshots from individual institutions.
  • Use Change account match to teach SimuPlan a label and Ignore in future for non-account rows. Saved choices improve later imports.

No screenshots selected.

2

Verify extracted balances

Confirm before saving. Financial pages often show daily changes, buying power, and available cash alongside the actual balance. Correct or exclude anything SimuPlan interpreted incorrectly.

Your detected balances will appear here. You can also add a row manually when a screenshot is difficult to read.
